Showcase 9 @ The Gypsy Lounge - Honey Pie, Barret Johnson, Avenue of the Giants, The Union Line

Our showcases moved to The Gypsy Lounge in Lake Forest this week - such a great lil place to sit back, relax, and listen to some great music! Honeypie was up first and by the time they started their first song, the place was bustling with people! The crowd responded well to songs such as “Uh Oh”, making their first performance together seem effortless. Avenue of the Giants played next and soundedgreat with their folky, relaxing sound. Keeping with the folky rock, Barrett Johnson was up next and really captured the audience with some of their soulful and upbeat songs. There was even an encore request! Closing the show was The Union Line, and they totally rocked it! Can’t go wrong with two sets of drums on stage!
Such a great night for local music, make sure to come by next week - it’ll be the last showcase before the finals!
