OC MUSIC AWARDS ANNOUNCES THE 2010 NOMINEES IN 21 CATEGORIES

The Awards Academy has voted, the ballots have been sorted and the 2010 OC Music Awards nominees in 21 Academy selected categories have been solidified. This year’s list welcomes back some OC Music Awards previous winners and nominees, a few fresh faces, and introduces one new category of Best Folk. Included in today’s announcement are the recipients of both the Orange County Impact and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

2010 OC MUSIC AWARDS SHOWCASE #5 BRINGS THE DANCE PARTY TO CHAIN REACTION

Just over 450 music lovers of all ages danced their way into Chain Reaction last night for the fifth installation of the OC Music Awards Showcases and third in the Best Live Band category. Moostache opened the night with Elizabeth Messick of Best Live Acoustic hopeful, Matt Kollar and the Angry Mob joining the Wardell brothers on the last song.

ALBUM REVIEW | SKIN, BONES & SILICONE
Artist: Handsome G

While Handsome G may have gone through a few name changes in the last couple of years (Regarding Jack and then Handsome Grandpa), the band still manages to keep a solid following and have devoted fans. After cutting the name down to Handsome G, you would probably expect the band to have grills and sing of bootylicious women just by their band name, but no, that’s not the case.

Artist: The New Limb

The New Limb are really not like any other band in Orange County. On top of being a group of talented and true musicians, they have the personality and drive to make it in this tough industry. And it’s not just because they bake cookies for fans, welcome you with hugs after only meeting them once, put a couch on the roof of their house, do a stellar cover of “The Weight” and have the lovely Lauren on keys.
